Sambar Stag Tapers

Sambar Stag is well known for its beauty and excellent density for handle material.

Genuine Sambar Stag is difficult to obtain but well worth the effort for one of a kind knife handle. As a natural material, each piece is unique.

When worked down, a solid, white, surface is obtained which is perfect for carving and scrimshaw. Work gently to maintain the texture and color of the natural material.

PLEASE NOTE:Taper diameter is measured at the largest end and of the widest portion. One direction may measure smaller than the other as tapers tend to be oval.

Sambar stag rolls and crowns are also available.
