The Trane SWT1280 Auto Limit Switch is an essential part of the HVAC system that is used mostly in protecting furnaces from overheating. It has a 3″ insert and its working temperature is 125°F -155°F. When the temperature of the equipment rises to the opening temperature of 155°F, the switch opens to disconnect the power supply to the unit to prevent further damage. The constant-temperature switch is designed to close at 170°F and to open at 125°F to allow the continued use of the equipment. Unlike other systems that may need an operator to reset the system, this is done automatically and is therefore convenient and time-saving.
