Carrier HY12NJ170 Auto Limit Switch 170°F Cutout

The Carrier HY12NJ170 Co Auto Limit Switch is a protective device applied in Carrier HVAC systems. It also serves as a protective feature that will turn off the system as soon as it reaches a certain temperature preferably 170 degrees Fahrenheit. This mechanism prevents over-heating of the system; overheating may cause malfunction or breakdown of the entire system. This switch is of normally open contact type and has an additional feature of an automatic reset. When the temperature goes high, the switch breaks the circuit and thus the power supply to the system is cut off. When the temperature drops, the switch turns off and then turns on the circuit to enable the system to begin again.
